System Upgrade Completed

We are pleased to announce that a major system upgrade has been completed. Some of the more significant changes are:

1. A number of bugs have been squashed. These have particularly affected email handling, which has in turn affected paper submission and processing.
2. Numerous character set conversion errors in the early papers (papers published as HTML pages, rather than PDF) have been corrected. It is possible that a few 'corrections' have been inaccurate - please let the Editor know if you find any.
3. You can now choose to have system messages (but not papers) in a choice of languages. Currently we support French and German; when we are happy that the system is working correctly, we can add further languages relatively quickly. The translations have been produced by the Claude AI agent, and may not be completely accurate; let the Editor know if you find any that could be improved.
4. At a technical level we have upgraded to the latest stable version of the server operating system (Ubuntu 24.04) and related code (Laravel 12, Mariadb 10 and Nginx 1.24). Hopefully these will remain reliable for some time to come.

Bitte beachten Sie, dass Artikel als PDF-Dateien in Preprint-Form veröffentlicht werden, während sie begutachtet werden.
